Find answers to common questions about Murphy and the Multiply platform.
Yes, Murphy is fully trained as soon as you set up your account. He uses your sales messaging to develop training for your sales team. If you have your messaging built out, we can assist in transferring it to the platform. We also offer services to help build your sales messaging, which typically takes about four meetings over the course of a month.
Absolutely! The platform allows you to create multiple departments within your main messaging framework. This enables you to maintain a core message across your company while allowing different representatives to focus their sales messaging on specific product lines.
Murphy trains your team in two key areas. First, offensive training builds your ability to carry and deliver your company's sales messaging. Through elevator pitches, casual encounters, and full sales presentations, your team learns to confidently talk about the company, articulate differentiators, and drive the pipeline. Second, defensive training prepares your team for what comes back at them. Objection handling sharpens their ability to respond to pushback, while deal coaching ensures they can deliver proposals with confidence and be prepared for any question that could arise about the deal. Murphy provides company-specific feedback across all modes, building the muscle memory needed to perform in real meetings.
Murphy evaluates your pitch after you finish and provides detailed, company-specific feedback. In interactive training modes, Murphy introduces pre-built questions and objections at various points during your pitch to simulate real-world interruptions. In Deal Coaching, Murphy reads your uploaded documents and generates targeted questions to test your knowledge. While Murphy does not listen and react live, the experience closely mirrors real sales conversations.
Yes, in interactive training mode, Murphy will interrupt your pitch with common objections you encounter daily. This allows you to practice effective responses and enhance your overall sales technique while ensuring you effectively convey your company's messaging.
The elevator pitch is a concise overview of your company that you would use during cold calls, networking events, or in written communication like emails or LinkedIn messages. It highlights your differentiators and offerings, with the goal of securing a meeting with a prospect. While it's easy to pick up, mastering it can be challenging.
A casual encounter pitch is how you would discuss your company in informal settings, such as over drinks, coffee, or lunch, where you don't have a slide deck to present from. This pitch is often more challenging to master, as it is unprompted and may be interrupted. As you improve your casual encounter pitch, you might find the elevator pitch more difficult if you try to include too much information. Practicing both is essential to ensure you're prepared to discuss your company in any situation.
Yes, the company information fields are fully customizable. You can adjust them yourself or work with a member of our team to develop your messaging within the platform.
Regular training provides a solid foundation to master your company's message in an uninterrupted setting, ensuring your team can carry the core sales messaging confidently. Interactive training introduces a layer of difficulty where Murphy interrupts with objections and questions during your pitch, requiring you to adapt on the fly while still driving the conversation toward your goals. Most training modes offer both standard and interactive versions, allowing your team to progress from mastering the message to defending it under pressure.

Objection Handling is a dedicated training mode where Murphy presents rapid-fire objections customized to your company and industry. Rather than pitching, you focus entirely on responding to common prospect concerns like pricing pushback, competitor comparisons, timing objections, and more. Murphy evaluates your responses on completeness, accuracy, confidence, and conciseness.
Deal Coaching allows you to upload deal-specific documents such as proposals, contracts, product specs, or any relevant material, and Murphy generates targeted questions based on the content. This ensures your team can confidently discuss and defend every detail of a deal before walking into a meeting. It's particularly useful for complex deals where deep product and contract knowledge is critical.
Multiply offers nine training modes across offensive and defensive skill sets. On the offensive side, Elevator Pitch, Casual Encounter, and Sales Presentation train your team to carry your company's message and drive the pipeline. On the defensive side, Objection Handling builds the ability to respond to prospect pushback, and Deal Coaching ensures your team can confidently defend proposals and answer any deal-specific questions. Most modes are available in both standard and interactive formats, progressively building your team's skills from message mastery to real-world readiness.
